This trip has been the best thing I have ever done for myself. I’ve always wanted to go to Jamaica but I refused to see the Island how tourists see it. Fortunately for me, Fusion project came along. This trip has given me confidence and reassurance; I can now talk about Jamaica with so much knowledge and genuine pride whilst feeling like a true Jamaican. I felt truly accepted by the ‘born and bread’ Jamaicans. Being greeted by ‘welcome home’ in our meetings was the biggest hug I could ever receive. It was a fantastic opportunity to be in the room, and stepping in buildings with the most successful CEO’s and corporations in Jamaica, along with the decision makers of the island. Learning about Jamaica’s past, present and future was a gift. Hearing first hand about the endless opportunities and desperate areas of need in Jamaica was so unbelievably eye opening. This trip was a prime example of don’t believe what people say, go see it for yourself. I will forever be thankful for this once in a lifetime opportunity that mahogany has given me.
As someone who had never been to Jamaica before, my trip with the Fusion Project was unforgettable. I feel like I gained a new family. I’d always wanted to see the real Jamaica beyond the resorts, but without close family there I didn’t know how. The Fusion Project made it possible, showing me the island in all its diversity. I’d highly recommend it to others!
Amazing experience with some amazing people. I feel like it has opened the door ot opportunities that I intend to capitalise on and more importantly has given me a new appreciation for Jamaica and its culture. Forever grateful for the opportunity.
